wait, thats it?

Way disappointing. The game took roughly five minutes, and ended up way emo. I liked the art and the idea, but it was executed very poorly. I would suggest Adding at least another 20 minutes of game play, just to increase the tension, then perhaps adding a plot.

boooooooooring

It was shiny and played well, but thats it. Theres absolutely nothing unique about this game. Its a standard top down shooter with a number of achievements that do absolutely nothing for you in the game. No customizing options, all the enemies were boring and trite, and nothing much changes even at level 20.

They do do things for you in game, but you have to get a certain amount of them. Thanks for at least playing the game to level 20, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the new enemies.

glitchy

Really great game! I loved the concept, but hated the glitches. Being forced through the ground until you die of "falling" was bullshit. Also, I felt like a lot of the wins were too random. It seemed more like a guess and cross your fingers kind of game than something with actual strategy.

I never rate higher than a 3/5 and 7/10 for any game that doesnt have a mute button. great otherwise though.

seriously though, after i got all the powerups, it just wasnt fun anymore, there was nothing to work for. Add some replay value, and I'm down.

ALMOST PERFECT

Sorry, someone has to bring the bad news.

A couple flaws, but just minor, fixable ones.

Mario's acceleration and speed were good, but the rate at which he slowed down after you stopped moving him was very frustrating. it made certain simple jumps MUCH harder than they had to be, it was ridiculous. Also, when you die on a Bowser level, why does it take you not only to the beginning of the level, but to the beginning of the PREVIOUS level? Glitch? Also, while fighting Bowser, the player needn't get killed while touching him directly after a hit, while he's flashing. thats just not fair.

Otherwise, badass work, keep it up.

Those three aspects of your game eliminate absolutely any replay value whatsoever. The game was totally front page worthy, but having to build all of that up again gets repetative and boring and frustrating, bad combo.

i dont know who you had test this...

But apparently the "novices" you tested the game with were league players. I'm a total beginner at chess, and I got my ass handed to me every time on novice. I can play against other novices in real life and at least have a shot. This is like playing against someone who plays for a living.

it all boils down to balance issues. I don't mean "omgz my towers suxorz make it easier!" I mean a ton of little facts don't make sense. The only way I ever lost was by starvation. I had about 12 farms and 100 population when I realized something didn't add up. Starvation should be next to impossible with two or more farms. When the number get low, that means there are less people. less people eat less food, not more. In that sense, there should be a vast, unimaginable surplus of food when enough people starve off.

alos, the idea of each of the same buildings costing more than the last is played out and also just a cheap attempt at making the game impossible to beat.

try using logic, and youll have one of the best flash games ever.
