[Space tumor]

ehhhhh, it was good

it was great, actually, but I still didn't like it much. I got bored. The characters didn't seem appropriate to the content, they looked like comedic drawings instead of dramatic ones, but I suppose thats just the artists style. the one that really bothered me was how the main character reacted to the asteroid.. If there were dialog I figure it wouldve sounded like this:

"Hm? Whats with the smoking crater?"
*Walks down into crater*
"Space rock, eh? Suppose I'll get really close to it for some reason."
*Puts his face right next to it for some reason*
"Achoo!"
*Sneezes*
"Well, space rock, it's been real, but I've gotta get back to jogging. Because my late night jog is much more important than the ground-breaking (Literally) shit that just went down right now, you being a fucking meteor and all... Peace."
*Runs off*

What the fuck? A mecca of scientific discovery just touched down in fron of this guy's eyes and he runs off, seemingly bored? I don't get it, motivation seems off.

good, not great

I really enjoyed this movie. Unfortunately, some of the most vital aspects need improvement.

Animation was good. Sloppy, but it seemed stylized.

Sound was good quality, well recorded. The narrators voice in the beginning was inappropriate for the subject matter though. A voice like that should be saying "Gee golly goo willickers!". Judging from what was actually said in that intro, I imagine a more cynical, less enthusiastic voice, like Edward Norton at the beginning of Fight Club.

Finally the writing needs a lot of work. When you're working with comedy, you try too hard to throw drama into the mix, and when you're working with drama you try to get a cheap laugh. It's ok to work in both genres throughout a single movie, but try to define them more. The way it is sounds like you can't make up your mind as to whether the characters are being silly or serious. If you need pointers, send me a script and I'll show you whats going on. I'd love to collaberate :)

Other than that, this is the start of an epic series. I will be following your work closely.

Um, congrats I guess? All I saw was decent animation, and all I heard was a listing of playstation games with a terrible chorus and bad vocals.

trying improving those maybe? I only say that last part so I can pretend I'm being constructive.

Boring

I couldn't even finish this movie, so don't take me too seriously I suppose. The story was spotty, boring, lacked action, and lacked much direction. It was too vague at critical points in the character developement. However, the reason I couldn't watch the whole thing was the song, it's fucking awful. I hate when really talented animators like yourself have terrible taste in music, especially in their sound tracks.

change the song, add more dialog, and It can easily be an 8 or 9 instead of a 5.

honestly, the song didnt strike me the right way. came off really mundane, very cookie-cutter. the art wasn't incredible, but the animation itself was pretty impressive. overall i wasn't totally impressed, but i can see why it has i high score. I'll give it a 4 on my click, but as a review, it could use improvement.

call me an elitist, whatever.

Thanks for the advice. I can see the problems you have with the movie. I was sort of rushing when drawing the characters. I should have worked on them more. For artwork I'm trying to improve, so thanks for the comment. Makes me realize I got to work a lot harder.

Ugh....

I'm a big fan of this one. I actually work for an organization trying to stop global warming. The reason this is titled the way it is is because after reading a few reviews, I've decided that internet access should require an IQ test and full screening. Maybe I'm being presumptuous, but this has to be a sarcastic movie, right? A few of these reviewers are actually dim enough to not believe in this? Please, pull Exxon Mobile out of your ass for 2 minutes and try reading.
